About Me:
Donna or, as
she is known by many, Cherries The Model started
her modeling career at the age of 18. She is multi-talented,
as she started out as a host of the Atlanta television show
"Youth of Atlanta" with two other young hosts in January
of 2007. Her main passion is to be a film maker, but she is
also interested in modeling and dance. She is also a talented
writer in screenplays and poetry. She started writing plays
and poetry at age ten and screenplays at age twelve. She continues
to write and currently has six completed screenplays. She is
working at getting her work acknowledged and her name in Hollywood.
Born and raised
in Riverdale, Georgia she and her twin sister lived with their
single mother in a household where ends were barely met. She
learned at a young age about money management and was struck
with a very difficult hardship in her preteen years. Her mother
became ill with a herniated disk and could no longer work. With
no help from the government (i.e. disability, welfare) she had
to take up part-time job at age sixteen to provide food for
the household. She continued to go to school and kept her faith
even though she and her family faced hard times. She continues
to follow her dreams and attends college at Georgia State University,
majoring in Film and Business Management.

-
What made you want to
get into modeling?
-
I've always
been very artistic. I found that out when I started writing
poetry and screenplays at the age of eleven. I knew a career
in entertainment was for me. I only recently found that
I have a love for modeling. I was always told that I should
do it because I have the beauty, body, and personality.
But that is not why I got into it. I always like to try
new things just for myself to see if they suit me. Modeling
is something that I find to not only be enjoyable, but a
new part of me that I am eager to improve more and more.
-
Which celebrity or supermodel
would you compare yourself to and why?
-
I do not
compare myself to any celebrity or supermodel because once
I do that I will continue to be compared to them by others.
There are many I look up to, such as Janet Jackson and Kate
Moss, but I always put myself in my own category as an individual.
-
What's your favorite
article of clothing?
-
Wow, that's
hard (smile). Well, I'm an accessories kind of gal! My main
obsession is sunglasses, but I also love to jazz up any
outfit with some nice earrings, beads, and bracelets.
-
What is your favorite
designer label?
- Hmmm... I really like Prada....and
Dolce & Gabana....and Baby Phat... Are you really gonna
make a girl choose? (smile)
-
If you were a car, which
car would you be, and why?
-
Define "Sexy"
- Sexy is natural. Anyone
can attempt to be sexy but so many people have the belief
that sexy is showing more skin and promiscuity. Sexy is just
the opposite. It's starts with self-confidence and self-love.
-
Do you consider yourself
sexy?
- I do. Sexy is also not just
looks. I am intelligent and modest which is a major key.
-
What types of clothes
do you prefer modeling in?
- I like to model
in anything that is fun. It doesn't necessarily have to be
something I would wear on a regular basis. I believe if the
model shows the he/she enjoys what they are wearing then they
can truly sell the clothing.
-
What's the most attractive
thing about you?
- My personality. I'm a people
person and I love to have fun. Even if depressing things are
happening in my personal life I do not let it show in my exterior.
Many people consider me to be "The Girl Next Door".
-
What is the one thing
you can't live without?
- My faith in Jesus Christ.
I don't know where I'd be today without Him.
-
What do you consider
the best part of your body?
- The best part? Is that a
trick question? (giggle) I'm not vain or anything but I've
learned to love everything about my body- even my flaws.
- Who are your heroes?
- First and foremost, God.
Secondly I would have to say my Auntie Dawanda. She is my
mentor. She is also an entrepreneur and she inspires me to
follow my dreams.
-
What's the last movie
that made you cry
-
Describe yourself in
3 words
Intelligent,
Creative, & Determined.
